Lee Tergesen will complete the cast of Second Stage Theatre's upcoming production of Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa's Good Boys and True. Set to begin previews April 23 and open off-Broadway on May 19, the play will be directed by Scott Ellis. Tergesen joins previously announced cast members Christopher Abbott, Betty Gilpin, Kellie Overbey, Brian J. Smith and J. Smith-Cameron. The play is set at Saint Joseph's Prep, an all-boys' Catholic school in Washington, DC, which has taken privileged young men and shaped them into "good boys and true." In the late 1980s, a scandal rocks the school, drawing in a mother and her son—the school's star football player—forcing each to judge the difference between teenage irresponsibility and what might be a deeper, more unsettling lapse of character. Good Boys and True made its world premiere at Chicago's Steppenwolf Theatre last December.
