Auditions announced for ‘night Mother.
The Auburn Players Community Theatre are pleased to announce auditions for their September production of Marsha Norman’s classic drama, ‘Night, Mother. Auditions will be at Cayuga Community College on Thursday August 30th starting at 7:00 in the Bisgrove Theatre. ‘Night, Mother has parts for two women: Jessie -30’s and Thelma 50’s-60’s. Jessie is a generally a woman who has let life pass her by but has now made a decision from which she cannot be swayed. She suffers from epilepsy but currently has it under control. Thelma is Jessie’s mama who has let Jessie take care of her- to give Jessie a focus in her life. She disagrees with Jessie’s decision and tries her best to make Jessie change her mind. The production will run September 28 and 29th so availability during for evening during the month of September will be a factor in the casting decisions.
