Folks are Going Hog Wild over the fun and excitement at the Arapahoe County Fair, July 22 - 26 at the Arapahoe County Fairgrounds, 25690 E. Quincy Ave. in Aurora. At an incredible value, $10 admission includes all concerts including Firefall performing July 25, activities and entertainment except for carnival rides and games. This means you don't pay extra to cheer for the bull rider during the rodeos, groove to live music or enjoy the fireworks. You don't fork over any cash for face painting, the petting zoo or modified tractor pull. Fairgoers can upgrade their ticket to unlimited carnival rides for just $5 Wednesday - Thursday and $10 Friday - Sunday and ride till their heart's content. "In a time where everyone is pinching pennies and watching dollars, the fair is an incredible value for families looking for a full day of laughter and good wholesome fun," said Arapahoe County Commissioner Chair Susan Beckman. "It's also an educational opportunity to learn about agricultural history and 4-H exhibits, from rabbits and rocket launches to cakes and chickens." Residents are invited to take part in the fun by competing in the variety of competitions. Open class invites everyone, no matter your age, to try your hand at the baking, painting, quilting, photography, knitting or gardening and win a little green back in your pocket and bragging rights that last a year. Other competitions include a national armwrestling contest July 25, mutton bustin' daily - no fees, no lottery - and Dutch Oven Cook-off and demolition derby, July 26.
